This Evening, the Volunteers loaded up and headed to the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center to refresh on Vehicle Rescue skills.
Members worked to rescue “patients” from three vehicles on the training ground.
While Engine 63-1 was present members were put to the test on hand tools and rescue technique. Meaning they couldn’t use the hydraulic rescue tools. This is pertinent in the instance of a mechanical failure with the hydraulic tools.
Therefore, the use of rotary saws, reciprocating saws, halligan bars was utilized.
