Around 5:30PM this evening, Engine 63-2 and Truck 63 were dispatched on the Initial Assignment for a Dwelling Fire in the 2100 Block of Horseshoe Road (Company 62 Local).
It was reported to be a porch on fire to the side of the dwelling. Chief 62 confirmed the report.
Truck 63 was second arriving and positioned in the driveway as E62-2 stretched a line to the fire.
Crew members of Truck 63 checked for extension inside the basement and cut away burnt material on the porch while 62 members extinguished the fire.
All other units staged out and eventually were placed available as crews had a quick knock on the fire.
