Tonight a group of LFC volunteers loaded up in our squads and traveled to Nathan Village in Leola at the request of their community leadership. The residents of the neighborhood wanted to say thank you to us for the donation of chicken we distributed after our fall barbeque.
Sometimes we don’t sell out of our chicken halves. When this happens, an anonymous donor usually purchases the remaining halves and asks that we donate them. We are truly grateful for the person who continues to donate the halves to give to the community. We took the chicken halves to Nathan Village and handed them out many residents in the neighborhood. The residents then put together a care package and thank you cards and presented them to our members this evening. We were treated with a song written by a community member and many thanks and well wishes from those in attendance. We were touched by the gesture and happy to make an appearance for the folks of their neighborhood.
