In a virtual boot drive of sorts, our volunteers participated in the Extra Give – a great day of giving in Lancaster sponsored by High Foundation, Lancaster County Community Foundation, and Murry Foundation.
We do not have a full-time marketing team or staff to dedicate to this event like many of the top fundraising organizations; however, we value that every little bit helps us keep our volunteers and our community safe, and we appreciate those of you who turned out to support us!
This year, we celebrated 2 new Associate members, who joined shortly after this event last year, and they are making a huge difference at Lafayette. They are a part of our support team that we call Associate Members. They do not physically run into fires, but rather help to do the administrative and community outreach work that helps our fire company be a successful multi-million dollar non-profit providing the best emergency services possible by volunteers to our community.
One of the most spectacular statistics from our drive is that our volunteers friends and family supported us from 18 different states & contributed enough money to fully outfit one of our volunteers in new turnout gear. So when we say thank you to our community, we are grateful for our nationwide support!
