Check out our recently added “Community Resources” menu here on our website. There are 3 tabs on the menu.
The First Tab is labeled “Knox Boxes” – this tab assists business owners in ordering Knox Boxes. Not sure what a Knox Box is? A Knox Box is a secured key lock box that only the Fire Department has access to. You put your businesses key in the box and if there were to be an emergency at your business we would then be able to make access without damaging unnecessary doors / windows to make entry.
The second tab is labeled “Address Signs” – The Lafayette Fire Company provides reflective address signs to residents / businesses at a fairly inexpensive cost. This tab assists those home owners / businesses in ordering those address signs. These signs are beneficial when we are trying to locate your residence day or night.
The last tab is labeled “Residents Requiring Assistance” – Under this tab you will find a form that can be filled out. This is for local residents who may require assistance in a time of emergency. This is pertinent information for our Pre-Incident planning team and responders. If you or your loved ones need assistance if your home would be on fire – we NEED to know this. Simply fill out the form and submit it in one of the appropriate ways listed on the form.
