Just after lunch, Engine 63-1, Engine 62-1 (Witmer) and Squad 63-1 were dispatched to the 1600 Block of Lincoln Highway East for a reported Commercial Vehicle Accident. Just before hitting the street, the location was updated to the First Block of Lampeter Road with additional information of a Tractor Trailer head on with a Trash Truck with one being on fire. Companies 50 (Willow Street) and 54 (Lampeter) were added on as the updated location fell in West Lampeter Township.
Engine 63-1 extinguished the fire and began hazard control until additional units arrived.
The Incident was turned over to Hazmat and West Lampeter Units.
