Just after 3:00PM, Engine 63-2 was dispatched to Dutch Wonderland for a Fire Alarm Activation.
Upon the arrival of E63-2, crew members found a smoke condition within the “castle” and the assignment was upgraded to a Commercial Building Fire.
Arriving Truck Companies went to the roof to look over HVAC units, to determine if they could have been a culprit in producing the smoke condition.
After a brief investigation was concluded, it was determined that the HVAC handlers had brought in smoke from a local food stand within the amusement park.
Units ventilated the building before returning to service.
