Around 3:00am, Engine 63-2 and Truck 63 were dispatched with the initial assignment for a working Dwelling Fire in the 2300 Block of Old Philadelphia Pike (Co. 62 district).
Multiple 9-1-1 callers reported a house on fire at the location.
ELTPD arrived first and reported a fully involved dwelling fire.
Truck 63 was 3rd arriving and positioned in a rear driveway to make access to the fire which was burning on the back side of the structure. The crew split up to perform a search and open up the interior of the second floor and attic space. The exterior crew placed ground ladders and ventilated the roof.
Engine 63-2 arrived to assist with fire attack and overhaul.
The assignment upgraded as far as the second alarm to bring the incident under control.
Crews worked the incident for nearly 5 hours.
Thank you Strasburg Fire Company #1 and Lancaster Township Fire Department for covering our quarters while we worked the incident.
