Just before 3pm today, a first alarm assignment consisting of units from 510 (Strasburg), 54 (Lampeter), 48 (Ronks), 47 (Paradise), 51 (Bart Twp.), 41 (Bird in Hand) and Tower 63 were sent to a home in the 100 block of Lancaster Ave. in Strasburg Boro for a house fire. First arriving Truck 510 reported a working fire. Truck 63 was on the street quickly due to our crews having just returned from a previous call and was the 4th arriving unit. While the 510 and 54 crews worked on getting handlines in place the tower crew threw multiple ladders and vented the roof then sent crews inside to assist with search and overhaul. The truck remained on the scene for about 3 hours.
